Well, it's time to start with the aquarium hobby again after a long time away doing other stuff. Getting a new house & other things took me away for awhile - but I'm really stoked about picking back up where I left off.

Just a little about myself - I got my first aquarium about 25 years ago and during the years, I found that my favorite thing was to try and create a little slice of nature... surrounded by water & glass. The pic in my sig was from my last tank - and with any luck this time it'll be bigger and better.

This seems to be a great board with a lot of great people - very much looking forward to discussing fish-n-stuff

Right now I'm just trying to figure out what I need... much of the stuff I used to have is in need of replacement - and it's just amazing what is now commertially available (CO2 systems were all DIY back then - and laterite was the "only" substrate for planted tanks). Yes, lots has changed. Currently I am in search for a nice RO unit since the water here is hard and has a nasty tendency to yield large quanities of black & brown algae), canister filter, ect. Probably won't have the tank set up for a couple of months to allow for research and such, but I've deffinatly picked up the aquarium bug again.
