Hi all , just dived into the world of aquariums , always wanted to have a go and now i am !! , only got a 40 litre bowfront due to space reasons , i have put sand in the bottom , 3 pieces of bogwood and 3 plants , its been running a week but i seem to have a problem , the bogwood has got a coating of light brown fluff that is waving around in the breeze so to speak , what is it ?

Welcome to the forum Paul.

Sounds like algae to me, got a pic? Is your tank cycled or?

Hey Paul, welcome to the forum :)

Take a look at the beginners resource section. It will tell you everything you need to know about cycling :)

Ahh There you go :), as Gidge says take a look there and that will help you about massively. It starts out a little difficult mate but once the main part is done (cycling) it get's easier and when you have the fish its well worth it. :good:
