Nominations for the July 2011 POTM competition starts today and closes on 14th July 2011... Only those photos nominated and seconded in one of the topics qualifies for this thread.

Once your pics placed in any topic are nominated and seconded by other members, you may move the pic over to this thread with a link to the topic where the picture was nominated and the pet's name.... Good luck to all.....

This my 3 (nearly 4) year old cat Molly (I call her winkle hence my name ) Only had her 1 year, before she was living with 2 dogs she was terrified of so she never left the upstairs bedroom. She now lives happily with my other cat Meeko (aka Sausage, get the name thing now )

Just a comment, maybe opening potm more and making it like the other comps, so you can just submit pictures instead of having to be nominated and seconded, would make it more appealing to forum members? Might get more people actually doing it that way...

I agree this nominating and seconding thing is silly, a lot of people don't know it has to be done. I don't even get any comments on my pics of my dogs let alone a nomination.

Maybe have a theme for pet of the month each time to make it fun. On another forum I go on we have a theme each month. For example in October Halooween costume pics or June "June Jumping" where we add pics of our pets jumping. Stuff like that.

Here's my girl Maggie, who we found on the side of the road more than 8 years ago. She was terrified and covered with woodticks, which I picked off her during the remaining 2-1/2 hour ride home. She was only 5 months old when we found her, and had lots of issues to overcome, but now is one of the happiest dogs I've ever known!
