I got diatoms so did I have a mini cycle one day as all of my params were 0 or do the eventually grow.

They're normally a sign that the tank has cycled. How longs your rock been in the tank and how long was it out of water (i'm assuming its cured LR)?

It has been in since sunday and it was cured and in a sump for 2 years transported in a bucket full of water and was out of the water for about 30 sec.

I don't "like" the appearance I like the fact that they are in my tank and if it had a cycle then it is finished.

That suggests to me that you have had a very mini cycle if any, and it is now ready to go give it another day just to be on te safe side!

Im the tortoise, I don't even have LR yet
