Fish Fanatic
I recently acquired a otto pf-450g. It was quite nosy, and had a loud rattling sound to it. To give you an idea of the volume, we have a clothes dryer next to it and you could clearly hear the filter when the clothes dryer is running..
So, I checked the impellor and shaft, and there was very clear evidence of wear on the shaft. So, this afternoon I replaced the impellor and shaft with a new one. I also removed the floss in the media, and replaced it with more ceramic tubes.
Anyway, I bled all the air out and started it up. It is still noisy.
It's not rattling as before, but is still noisy. This is very dissapointing, as I need this filter to operate in our living area.
Has anyone got any ideas on this?
Thanks.
