I've got an Eheim 400 air pump that I thought I didn't need. It's been sitting in a box since I bought it but I've recently found a use for it only to find it is too noisy. It makes a quite loud (beyond my tolerance level) constant hum. Is there any way I can fix this? I've taken it apart and checked the diaphragm for tears and tightened a few screws that were loose. I found this video on silencing a Rena pump but I don't see how I can apply the fix to my Eheim pump:

Any ideas?

Why cant you apply that fix for your pump? It's really just adding as much as you can to absorb the sound and some hot glue to reduce vibrations.

Is it noisy when you hold it in your hand? If not, try putting a sponge under it.
