I keep getting crystals in the bottom of my NO3 mix,i mixed it with distilled water but every time i go to use it i have to shake it for ages until the crystals dissolve,is this because its been in the fridge,if so is it essential to keep it in the fridge.

You dont need to keep it in the fridge, KNO3 is fine without being kept in the fridge, just keep it at ordinary room temprature.

kjb, i`ve only just got into this fish malarky but i`m a Chemist and from what i know, neither need to be kept overly cool since there is nothing that can react or decompose. And i too get crystals in my NO3, i think its actually just the KNO3 coming out of solution especially if your mix is near to its saturation point like mine is. Thats just my own interpretation from my own knowledge, maybe people feel otherwise?

mine too, stick it on a radiator for 30 mins, shake like hell and it'll dissolve again.

pain in the butt isn't it lol

csm+b (trace) needs to be kept in the fridge not the macro's
