No One Said How Much Hard Work It Is

Getting back on topic lol, i had a look at my new layout this morning now the dust has settled, so to speak. I am very happy with it. I will post some pics this evening for comment and advice on improvements. On a side note, my wood went through the dish washer twice and soaked in the bath for a month and still wasn't fully waterlogged, so a couple of small bits of slate are in use to weigh it down at the moment. I am assuming it will eventually become fully water logged??

It's hard, but are you getting that feeling?... you know, the warm, smug feeling you get when you've just re-scaped  ... oh right, it must just be me then :look:
No, I get that too! :D

The only feeling i get after spending all day with my sleeves rolled up, is a cold front emanating from the mrs, because i've spent all day ignoring her & the kids

Having an understanding partner is a much under rated consideration. My own spouse barely tolerates me and my fish because she equates it to her dogs. She figures that each 10 tanks means she can have another darned dog. It is not that I don't care for the dogs but I refuse to give her an excuse to get a third one. For now I am stuck at only 26 tanks.
Ahahaha  I didn't realise you were so under the thumb OM! I actually have a similar arrangement with the manwife: 1 tank = 1 motorbike. I don't think this is very fair as my hobby isn't likely to result in my premature and messy demise, but because by that agreement he owes me a tank, I'm keeping shtum! Lol.

Right here's the pics of before and after, would really appreciate honest opinions and advice to further improve it. I will be lawning half of the front as the next step. Also stuck in a pic of my new favourite plant, coffeefolia.

Looks brilliant either way! nice healthy looking fish and plants. Do you use pressurized C02?

So when are 3 more tanks getting bought and set up, keeping you under the next multiple of 10?

Thanks, I use micro ferts in liquid and tab and add Easycarbo daily. Really don't want to go down the pressurised high tech route, but also don't want the low tech option. I thought this was happy medium

The leaves are too ridged to be lanceolata, those leaves are smooth. Is it congensis? Does that ring a bell? It looks like it could be congensis...
