I have taken all of my male live bearers out of my tank. I was getting tired of catching fry all of the time. My question is is it better to have all males or all females? From what I have read on here it seems like most people have all males so is that better? Thanks George

I don’t know but my reason for all males was because I didn’t want anymore surprise fry from my ladies. They can store sperm packets for months.

I'm afraid she's right.
Silly question: Why catch the fry?

As has been mentioned, females can continue to deliver a batch of fry roughly every month for several months without males. And any females you purchase will likely have been impregnated because this can occur with fry before the males even get their colour to ID them as such. So if no fry are wanted, males only is the only guarantee.
