No Interest

okay so im one tank i have a male and female sunset platy and 2 red female and 2 red male platys
they are in a community tank and i have only ever found one baby sunset platy which i think snuck in when i got a fish from the pet shop
but i am just wanting to know why my males are paying no interest to my females???

Who knows. maybe they are too young or a bit stressed still, how long have you had them in the tank together ?

How long has it been? Give it some time. They may be interested but not when your they see a giant head looking at them.

they have been in the tank together for a couple of months now

If it is a small tank with little cover they may just be eaten before you notice. That or you may have really poor water conditions. I assume you are correct in stating the sexes of the fish so you arent stuck with all males.

none of the females have become pregnant or i would have put them into my fry tank.
my water conditions are good and stable.
and i am certain of the sexes of the fish
i took a fish back because it turned out to be a male when i wanted a female
