in a 5 gallon tank - there isnt than much room.

if you've got a bristlenose - that on its own is too much fish for that tank.

I wouldnt recomend getting any more fish.

do you have anymore pics of the other fish (the piccy in the other thread is (as mentioned) a prestilla tetra - also called an xray tetra)

Your friend probably got lucky with the tap water thing. Read the pinned thread here and probably more importantly here, and that will explain why you shouldn't use tap water.
If you follow the advice of those posts, you shouldn't encounter too many problems. Plus we're all here to help whenever you get any!!
