with my one gal tank i put my pregnant mollie in, she's about to have fry any day now, so i took out my gravel for fry when they come and my female is going crazy! she's swimming fast around the tank, flipping around. she's scareing me. what should i do?? should i put her back in my 40 gal tank and hope for the best with the fry, or keep her in the 1 gal tank please help i don't want her to lose the fry, i have bad luck with that :-(

i would put her back in the 40 gal, let her have her fry there and try and catch as many fry as you can and put it then the one gallon! :D

Your best bet would probably be to buy a breeding net (about $3 at the lfs) and put her into that in the 40 gal until she has her fry, then she can go back into general population while the fry stay in Isolation. The main benefits IMO to doing it this way is there is no change in water parameters for Mama and the fry get a more stable established enviroment with the 40 gal (small tanks will turn "bad" a lot faster than larger tanks). Once the fry get a little bigger and stronger they can be moved into a different tank.
