Hi folks. I'm brand new here.
Have kept aquariums every year for the past 20+ ... except for these last 4 years. Now I'm hoping to set up again as a winter project. This time a 75 gal, which I've never done before. And I'm discovering there's lots of new techniques and new products out there! (i.e., undergravel heaters. Hmmm.)
But my situation presents a problem. I live in quite a remote area in Northern Maine, USA. The closest pet-anything store is a Walmart and the next closest Petco or Petsmart is 3.5 hours away by car.
How does one transport fish long distances by car.... or... are there mail order places and are they too risky for the fish's health?
Thanks for anyone's response!

P.S. Still in planning stages as to what fish. I LOVE the fancy Angels. But with 75 gal... who knows. Much will depend on WHERE I can obtain fish and equipment.
Oh yeah... another question... We have frequent power outages here. They don't last long - often instantaneous, but sometimes up to 2 or 3 hours. Got any suggestions if this will need any special electrical considerations? Thanks!
