Looking at Float Switches for a auto top-off and wanting to know what will be non-toxic to life in the aquarium?

Nylon Body Material with Nitrile Gasket

or

PPS Body with Viton&Silicone Gasket

or

PP Body with Nitrile Gasket

???

Also I know copper fitting are a no no but what about Nickel Plated Brass? or Stainless Steel?

I would have thought either would be ok.... but I'd lean more towards the nylon... -_-

Stainless is safe in aquaria too

I guess I'm little late in replying, but make sure the stainless steel is a MARINE grade. Not all stainless steel can handle salt water.

As some one else told me there are differant grades of steel is the sort I need knowen as Marine graed or does it have a number of common name??

I'm pretty sure that 316 grade is pretty much mandatory for use in applications where it's constantly in contact with salt water. 304 is Ok for light marine duty, but it was meant to handle occasional salt water spray. They are perfect for freshwater though. Don't use 204 or lower grade stainless steel.
