Well; i havent checked them in a few months because i never got a bad reading so i was confident in my methods. But i checked today because i overstocked my african cichlid tank due to aggression. Got a 80 ppm reading (bright red on api test), i do 10 gallons a week change and its 46 gal. Should i start doin more?

And thanks for quick response. Was literally ten seconds, lol

The easiest solution is to just increase either the size, the frequency or both of your water changes.  That's the easiest, most reliable and cheapest solution.... And as pointed out, fish waste water is tremendously useful for flowers!  My impatiens never looked so good - so it works for more than just roses.   ;)  Saves water as you're not "wasting it" as you pour it down the drain.  I always feel bad in the winter when I just pour it down the drain.

hi

I had nitrate issues for a while with my nitrate at 40-50 what ever i did i wouldnt go down.
I tried JBL Bio NitratEX  and after a few days the levels went down and continued to fall.
I use this all the time now and replace it about every 14 months.
My levels are at around 5 at worst even if iam bad and dont do a water change for 3-4 weeks.
brilliant stuff.

I like to refresh my tank water weekly - it doesn't need it from an ammonia or nitrIte point of view, but I think it's good to replenish the minerals found in tap water.
