Honestly, as long as your not trying to keep very delicate or wild caught fish, 35ppm is nothing to worry about. Just FWIW, last time I tested the water from my LFS it was at the very top of the scale, around 160ppm.
 
I agree with fluttermouth. Just as always look over your fish everday to observe how they are doing.

Plants love fish waste and can do wonders. Almost all pet stores will carry anacharis. You can plant it in your gravel or leave it floating around on top. So easy! It will grow with standard aquarium hoods and lights. My platy nibble on it as well.

This 'Anacharis' you talk of,sounds feasible, but my substrate is 75mm of gravel which has a back up undergravel system fed by 2 water flumes which bubble up to the top surface,will this particular plant be a problem,especially when I clean the gravel every week during a water change ? When you say you can just let it 'float around'..is it really as easy as that ?

My tank is a bog standard JUWEL TRIGON 190 btw.
