I have had the offer for one for £15 without tubing and it sounds like it could be worth a go.

What is it, just seems like a piece of PVC, it seems the creators don't want you to know whats inside it...

Googling it brings up another reef forum with a word from the manufacturer saying it uses sulphur compounds, the people on that forum didn't seem to like the idea and said it would release sulphuric acid which then needs buffering out. Sorry I cant link it but I believe linking other forums is a no no.

Sulpher based nitrate filters are not new news... But they're also tempermental and just not very effective. A biological nitrate reactor would be a better option...
