I really can not decide. What do you think is better, on a personal note?
I want it so to keep me amused on lonely evenings once I have done my work and without the girlfriend. Maybe games like worms and war games? I see that the DS has call of duty and worms. And I do like the way you play the DS and how interactive it can be. Some suggestions please?

dunno how old you are but my sons all had both and the DS lasted about 2 mins compared with the psp`s which are all still going strong, better graphics, better games, and now you can get msn or somthing with them, my son has played call of duty on his ps3 and gives it a very high rating, but hes stood here telling me to tell u to go for the psp, cos its wayyyy better

shelagh xxx

and voice recognition on DS is s-hite, the dog on nintendogs, still wont sit when told lol

PSP - my sis has DS and the graphics are shocking aswell as the games. You can also play movies on PSP and go on interenet

If it needs to be portable, PSP is your only option for first person shooters (other than looking at homebrew emulators for other devises).

PSP's are pretty cool, though games wise a ps2 is better for fps and cheaper, so if it doenst need to be portable I'd go for a ps2.

i have both and i prefer the ds, but then again it does depend on the type of games you want to buy. the ds for platform games and sheer fun where as the psp is for fast pace games like racing and fps. plus sonys support if it knackers (and it will) is shockingly bad

I agree, it depends on the games you are playing. My kids both have a ds and love them (also you can get a little device for cheap games, but don't let anyone on here know I told you :hey: coz they arn't kosher :D )

I am getting mostly DS votes from people i know. Of course there are still plenty of PSP votes though.

I want it for first person shooting games, and a few flight games, and some tactical like worms and what not.

I see myself swaying to the DS, i really dont need all the other stuff that comes with the PSP, and i hear bad news about reliability and when things go wrong. Its nothing to do with the money, this is just a big deal to me because i dont want to get it wrong.

If its nothing to do with the money then get both?

Lol joke, But I had a PSP and the novelty soon wares off, Portable gaming is nothing like it use to be with Gameboy, If you want FPS get a Xbox 360 mate, the online is great aswell.

PSP by far a better machine than the ninty ever will be (unless you are 10 that is) in which case get the DS

And with the ds you dont have to buy an annoying memory card after you have purchased the portable. Thats a hidden extra playstations havent mastered yet.

That's one vague question, they are hardly in direct competition due to the fact both have very, very different ablities.

PSP - graphics, looks nice :p, 'long' games. Can use custom firmware to run emulators e.t.c.
Disads: Crap battery (in comparison).

DS - more interactive games (as you noticed), games that are meant to be used for 10 minute sessions, though you can get 'longer' games... awesome battery.

If I was you, look at the games, then buy the console. They are quite different.
