Well my betta seems to love to flare at night time  During the day I haven't seen him flare once, even when his lights come on at 3 he doesnt start, however when it gets to about I duno 6:30 - 7 and is really dark outside he just starts flaring at anything, even if you hide behind a chair and watch so he cant see you he'll just flare to himself  is this normal? -_-

It'll be his reflection in the sides of the tank, what with the artificial lights and everything else getting dark, there is much more reflection. nothing to worry about, it is good exercise for him!
