Nicest Pleco Under $50?

i need a new pleco and i want a nice one now. the minimum size of it has to be 5-6 inches and i wouldnt want it to be over 9

so any suggestions?

There's a pinned post on this forum for plecs that grow to under 8 inches.

Personally I'd go for an L134 or L066.

i looked through the list already and they arent GREAT just decent. i saw one with lots of golden yellow dots before but i dont know what its called. and another with red dots instead. i dont think the names anyone know? i know the descriptions are a bit vague but the color on those i mentioned are kinda unique

Nah, my golden nugget has gold trim on its fins. This one seems devioud of such. Looks closer to my snowball plec

Snowballs are black and white spots thats got gold spots :E

I wont argue with that, The image is terribly small. I think you're right though.
That said,however, it is closer to my snowball than my golden. Hmmm, maybe its an in-between

That's L253, Scobinancistrus and gets to about 12"

Just incase you hadn't noticed. In your first post you said you didn't want a plec over 9" max...I said L253 grow to around 12". You do realise 12 is bigger then 9 don't you?

ya but i looked up info about it and it said the minimum tank size was 55. i dont mind having a pleco that size.
