Newww Tank Fish Help =)

Heyyyyy =) well i just got my new tank and im waiting for it 2 cycle but in the mean time im looking for some fish ideas. I have a 10g tank i have a heater and all the works. Im looking for fish that work well together and dont get to big.

If your looking for a tropical tank, i would recommend tetra's but since your tank is new tetra's might not cope so well in the earlier stages at least. I would recommend maybe a school of 6 cherry barbs, then maybe a platy. Just an idea. A great site to get started with is www.aqadvisor.com.

well some good fish would be platy, zebra danio, penguin tetra, neon tetra, guppies if you want baby fry

If you like a flashy small fish, how about some nice rasboras or some black neons?
You won't have room for much else in a tank that size but both are hardy in new tanks IME.

Heya!

What cycling method are you using?

You have quite a small tank so you won't get that many fish in there. Doesn't mean you can't have fun, though!

A good eventual stocking list would be:

6 pygmy corys
3 platys
3 guppys

or

6 pygmy corys
a betta (siamese fighting fish)

or

6-8 cherry shrimp or 6-8 ghost shrimp
6 cherry barbs or 6 black neon tetras or 6 harlequin rasboras
an apple snail
