Here's my new girl. She came directly from Thailand. Spent a ton on shipping. But here she is. She's actually bigger than all of the rest of my bettas.

And here's Saturn although he's not new, but a lot of you liked him in my post with all of my bettas earlier this week. I got some better pictures of him. Excuse the bad flash on the glass.

They're not a matching pair. She's copper melano, and he's who know's what. I still don't know. Maybe some type of mustard gas, I don't know. I've heard that copper melano females are infertile, but I'm not sure. And if I do buy a copper melano male I will deffinately breed. And I got them from koblarp on aquabid. He's fairly new to aquabid.

Yaaa it's Saturn again! I'm so inlove with his colours. I would say definitely not mustard gas, those are gold/yellow and blue.

Lovely fish Is she not just a copper though? I have a melano and he has black fins and a blue body, is it different with females? I believe that melano females are usually infertile, but she's a lovely fish anyway!

Copper melano is more of a black copper. But it said she was copper with the melano gene, but I don't care what she is, she's gorgeous anyway.

Beautiful! I like the melanos better. The other coppers always seem to come out reddish or pink.

If you ever bred her I'd be interested in a daughter! I have a darker colored copper plakat that would look good with her

Half Moon. She's so feisty. Most people get bettas in the mail and they're sluggish the first day. Not her, she was ready to eat and was darting around right away.

That is a very pretty fish...but are you certain it's a girl? I looked hard, and it might just be the angle but I see no egg spot..and those fins are mighty long lol.

on and side note..a mustard gas can be numerous colors (green, blue, purple, chocolate, ect..)...all it requires to be "Mustard gas" is that it has a yellow inset on the fins and solid colored body..if I'm wrong..one of the breeders can correct me.
