hi folks , fairly new to this scene , i have a 2ft x 1ft x1ft tank[approx] , i have 2 plecs , and afew neons , im a bit bored of the plecs but im wondering what sharks r available for the size of tank i have , if any??

cheers mark

I'm guessing that it is about 20 gallons. So, we need to know what kind of plecs and how many neons you have. also how long has the tank been setup for?

Cheers,
Mikaila31

I concur with Mikaila31 on her questions. But I wanted to also point out that there isn't technically a "shark" that would ever fit in a tank that small. True sharks are saltwater for the most part ;)

God Bless,
Joshua

tank has been active for atleast a year , its only changed locations ,

It looks like two common pleco, but i'm not really sure. Check to make sure as a lot of plecs get very big and they most likely will out grow your tank. Other than that it looks like 2 neons and 4 zerba danios, both of these would prefer to be in a group of about 6 of their own kind. As for freshwater tropical sharks, I really can't think of any that will fit in a 20gal, most need a 55gal or bigger  . I will suggest a german blue ram as a center piece, if you like them.

I'm no expert, but it seems that you may need to see if you can take some fish back.
I only say this because if you were to boost the schools of danios and tetras up to good amounts then there wouldn't be room for anything else... assuming that you've only got 20g.
Plecos often get real big unless you get certain breeds.

Others will probably offer better advice, but I think that 6 Neons would be happier than 6 Danios because Danios seem to like lots o' space.
I think if you started with
6x Neons
1x Bristlenose
You may have room for a nice centerpeice fish...

You should also check out the pinned article reccomending fish for a 10 gallon. you'll find lots of great ideas...
If anyone contradicts me. Trust them over myself, but I felt I should try to help. Sometimes advice can be hard to find...

thanks folks , im thinking about taking the red plec back , muchly appreciated !

As stated before there arn't any sharks that fit in your tank, I suggest you take them back to the shop. They are one of the species that shouldn't be sold to the public IMO.
