Just thought I would introduce myself. I have been keeping fish for about five months. I had some platys and tetras which were all very healthy and doing well, until I went to NZ for a holiday. I left a friend in charge who accidently managed to unplug the heater, and well, the inevitable happened. Despite this setback, I now have a new set of fish since february, two silver sharks, three platys, seven neon tetras and two lyretails. The lyretails were bought at the same time as a male and female guppy about two weeks ago and are therefore the newest members. The male guppy died after a day to what I believe to be stress related problems, despite careful introduction and transport. The female guppy, well I have some questions about her in the emergency section, if your intrested!

Hello Liz,

Welcome to our forum. I'm Davy (webmaster to the main site) I've got about 5 tanks running and another 3 empty just now. I'm into cichlids. Also I'm usually here all the time during GMT daytime, well in and out every hour anyway to keep checking things.
This board has been ruuning since mid Jan'02 the old one got too expencive. So were getting new members all the time.
