+1 i agree...i put fish in (as the LFS -local fish shop- recommended) after 5 days, they said my water was fine. I now know ...yeah it would be...it's dechlorinated water from my tap!! 3 days after adding the fish....they all died with Ammonia poisioning...you really dont wanna be doing what i did and explaining to a 7 yr old they all died!Good afternoon and welcome to the forum!Please read the link provided above by FighterFishh. cycling a filter is not as simple as letting it run for a few weeks. You need to add ammonia and do daily water tests. Please read up on cycling BEFORE you get fish
in my signiture down the bottom of my post is my log to my cycle i am doing on my two tanks....one is on day 14, and no change, so its not going to happen for a while yet for you..but get growing those bugs!! xx
