Newbie Can't Decide On Which Fish!

okay i don't want to bye a fish that will out grow its tank

What about platy or mollies or guppies mabey :S

lol; there are literally hundreds of species of fish that will fit in your tank.

The best thing to do is have a good look round yout LFS and make a list of things that you like the look of; that'll give you (and us!) somewhere to start; either with some of those fish, if they're suitable, or things that look similar :)

Just to confim, thats your tank size? in CM not inches right?

its not really big enough for any of those fish, sounds like shrimp would work though. what filter do you have? any pictures?

You should also start your own thread instead of hi-jacking someone elses.

I have found some i like

Glowing light Tetra Excellent underated fish, do best in fairly decent sized shoals.

Black Tertra Which one is that then?

Cobalt blue Cichlid Malawi? No.

Convict Cichlid Possibly on its own.

Odessa Barb May max out in your tank??

Cherry Barb Nice little Barbs, do well in groups, but not much of a shoaler though.

Sunburst Platy Very bright and colourful, add alot of character and activity to a tank.

Yellow macariffe Guppy Would also be fine. Nice active fish, although can be a bit touchy for a newly setup (cycled) tank. Do best in mature setups.

Dalmatian Molly Nice choice, but grow to around 4" so don't stock too many.

Lemon cichlid Leilupi? Tanganyikan Cichlid, too big for your tank and quite aggressive.

As for Balloon Rams, if going for Rams i would go for normal Bolivians, alot less touchy about water parameters, and can still be very attractive.

Edit: Sorry, just realised these fish weren't listed by the OP. My reply was for a tank of 125L with the given measurements.

And yes, start your own thread which will help people give advice on your tank and stop any confusion :good:
