also don't be surprised if the RDs don't stay that color. my RD has gone from almost all white with some light orange to mostly orange. but nice looking juvies.


on another note as stated that is a lot of big fish with big attitudes for that 200 of yours I am sure that it eventually work out, but I wouldn't be surprised if you end up with only 1 RD and all of the other fish or a pair of RDs and no other fish.

Red devils grow pretty fast. In a matter of about 4 months mine when from about 2.5" to about 6". But also, growth can be accelerated a bit by good healthy feedings of different frozen and live foods. If you do want to accelerate the growth of your RD's you will still want to stick to a diet of pellets at every single feeding.

my RD was already about 7 inches when I got him, in the last few years hes gotten to about 10 inches but its been slow, RDs typically shoot very fast up till abotu 6 inches then their growth slows a bit.

mine gets fed pellets every day and about 2-3 times a week I also feed him krill and or cocktail shrimp, along with some silver sides, he doesn't seem to like the silver sides too much but he will eat them.
