New to this thread but not new to loving fish

Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been caring for fish for a long time.?? Just lost all 5 of my fish due to ick. Never have had such a thing to happen. Just feeling very sad.

What happened to the ranchu goldfish (on left next to the palm)?
It looks like its tail is broken.

Do you feed the goldfish much plant matter?
They need bit to help their digestion. Duckweed is a good food for them and can be grown outdoors in shallow tubs or ponds and brought in to feed the fish as required.

I've been caring for goldfish for 30 something years. My first one lived 7 years. These were about 5 years old or so.... No my Ranchu's tail wasn't broken. LoL They didn't die from digestive issues a case of ick took one by one out in a two period. I fed them 4 types of different foods plus unshielded green peas.
