Hey everyone,
Thanks for all the previous help, I found it very informative, and as an update, have a very lush tank presently. I am however having a problem. For some reason, some of my plants down at the base start to turn brown, and then in essence rot away, but while doing so, the rest of the plant is still growing very nice.
What I don't understand is why this is happening as when I test the water, the water is perfect, in terms of ammonia, nitrate, etc....
Some of the plants for some reason are also having their leaves get a little black on them, again all while still growing nicely. I do have a fertilizer that I use, and about 2 weeks ago, started using Flourish Excel, and I noticed the black has lessened, but I want to verify this is the exact reason?
I also noticed in the last month or so, the water kind of has a green tint to it.... Could that be from plant leaves, that have fallen off, now breaking down?
