Hello! I'm Dena from Blue Ridge, Georgia. I'm an accountant and QuickBooks specialist helping small businesses be more profitable. I enjoy Marvel movies, good red wine, sushi (I know, bad choice for this forum lol), baking and life in general. I'm so glad I found TFF because I'm having to relearn about fishkeeping.
My wife and I had a 55gal tank for many, many years. I really enjoyed live plants, cichlids are my favorite, but we've also had angels. Our angels bred - I didn't realize was that white spongy stuff was in the tank but I watched it very closely until it STARTED HATCHING! I had no idea that was going to happen. It was so much fun! Learning to run a brine nursey on the fly was interesting, but I enjoyed watching my "kids" grow up. I even took them with us on vacation in a small plastic beta tank because we could not find anyone to feed them while we were gone lol.
We haven't kept a tank in over 10 years and I was jonesing, so Santa brought me a 10 gallon tank. Now I'm having to relearn how to run a tank. Previously, we didn't follow the rules or test the water and we were lucky to have the success that we did. Now that I'm working with a much smaller environment I realize how important it is to be very diligent with the water care. My plan is to have barbs, tiger barbs being my favorite. I know I can't have many in this small tank, but I just really enjoy the relaxation of watching them.
I'll leave my intro at that and will start a Journal for my lil' 10gal community.
