I am building my new tank today, I am goinf to have a sand bottom with brick in there. its a 30 gallon. How does this sound....?

Its cycling with 2 of my old filters, some old gravel, and a new filter...PLUS some old water, I highly believe its gonna be ok for some convicts

Why don't you just cycle with the cons? They are a pretty sturdy cichlid, if you do water changes they should be fine. I doubt a full cycle would be done in a week. If its not fully cycled the cons would be more stressed out than if they were cycling themselves.

its not to late but if there normal masionary bricks(the kind for houses) than their bad for tanks the bricks will mack ur water nasty it's not gona happen right away but if your con,s start to dig around it or move it than it may begin to make a nasty redish cloud formwhen its moved it would be beter if u used red or green slate be sore to clean it well .

Well, good news! Today I went into my room and notice that my convicts are super aggresive and i looked into a corner and there they were, about 60 little wee fry.

what should i do? Just leave them in there?
