Im thinking of getting into the hobby and i have decided to buy a 75g tank with 2 fluval 304 filters, 2 100w heaters and maybe a reverse osmosis system. I want to keep 2 emperor id sharks  , 3 balas  , 2 tinfoil barbs  and maybe an oscar -_- . The LFS told me that this tank setup would be bid enough for al these fish, but im not so sure for when they grow up. Do you have any other suggestions as to what fish would fit and that are compatible?

another concern of mine is the heaters. would it be better to get heating pad under the tank? I head that these are ideal because they keep the plant's roots warm and they also circulate the water much better. what do you guys think/ :(

p.s how long would it take to cycle this tank before i could start putting fish in it? the lfs told me 3 days, but im not so sure...

I'm not sure about compatibility lol but since u gave me those pluses on the heating under the tank, I'd say do that instead.

I don't really know much about cycling but yeah try 3-6 days lol

Hey I'm just coming from my own instincts :dunno:
...

Fishless cycling can take from 10 days to a few weeks. Read up on the pinned topic 'Avoiding and Treating New Tank Syndrome'.

P.T.

Also that 10 to 14 days is not usually the norm. I have seen peoples go for over a month. Fishless cycle is not a short to cycling.
