New Tank

im want to get myself a new tank end of next week but im having a bit of a problem the tank i wanted is a 36x15x15 which when using the calculator on this site says its 133litre but cant seem to find this size tank anywhere, but i have came across a 36x15x12 which is 106litre my current tank is 30x12x14 which is 83litre. What im asking is wold you buy the 106litre, will an extra 23litre makes any difference to stocking or should i just keep looking in hope that a 36x15x15 turns up.

p.s also am i right im thinking that its worked out lengthxwidthxheight when u buy tanks from most stores

you might have a better chance of getting hold of a 36x18x12 easier
or a 48x18x18 good luck in your hunt for the right size tank the biffster

hi thanks for ur help i have found someone who can make me a 36x15x15 for £59.00
its a bespoke tank its made by a company called southdown aquatics and they told me a 36x15x15 custom job also shipping only a 5er to uk if any one want a link anytime PM me ill be happy to send it to you

im gettin my new tank on tuesday and getting everything i need for it now i getting another powerhead to bring me up to 6000lph turnover some more live rock to bring me up to 12kg im only a bit confused about substrate the tank im getting is 36x15x15 and i was thinking around 8kg of substrate should be enougth i dont want a thick sandbed under a inch do u think this is enough or do i need more

ok i have got the sand sorted now and have ordered 4kg of reef bones for the tank also i have brought the tank but its not getting to me til next sunday when my uncle drops it off then im going to set it up on monday cant wait til i get my new tank its a 36x15x15 and i only paid £15 for it
