Ive just bought a new tank and it has an internal protien skimmer in the back compartment, how do I know if it is working properly?

Where is the water supposed to come up to on it?

Atm the moment its just making a few bubbles in the cone which comes out into the cup but not much else, is this correct?

it will be making a mass of small white bubbles in the core

as long as it is not going over the top it is fine

needs to be making a lot of small white bubbles, some of which will come up and into the cup

try opeing and closing the air intake valve to see what difference there is

the idea is create "froth" so ide say if its not making that you may need to increase the amount of bubbles. like seffie said try adjusting the air intake.
