New Tank!

Hi all,

I'm getting a new tank soon that will be atleast 75 gallons! I'll know the size in a few days when I get it but what fish should i get?!

I have found TONS of fish i want. the only fish i know that is going in there is my old rainbow shark (VERY peaceful).

Any ideas welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you should get platies! They're the cutest fish i ever seen, well IMO anyways. ^^

i do like platys but 99% of my other ideas would eat platys.

maybe i should go with tons of schools of small fish.

i think my favorite is the pink tailed chalceus. would that live with a large rainbow shark?

How many Discus do you have? Only 2 right? I think that after you move fish out of your established tank, you should consider getting another 2 or 3 for it.

I did some calculations and found the tank was actually a good bit bigger so i went ahead and got 3 more small discus knowing the big tank was on the way.

hopefully i'll be able to move them to the new tank and get a bigger school.

Yes, but if you move them to the big tank you shouldn't get a chalcius

Ok, I was thinking and I want an oscar like you wouldn't belive. Is it possible to get a small oscar with some big discus?

You could have an Oscar or Discus. Either or, but not both.


I think you would also be limited to what else you put with the Oscar in the 75g though.

Oh, that reminds me, I'll be getting a 90 gallon. Maybe I'll get that shoal of neons I've wanted...
