A nice range of fish that tank has, liking the reedfish shot.
How big is it and could you provide a stocklist?

Nice tank. Like the wood and the clowns are really colourful. nice job.

Thanks, took a while to setup but worth the trouble

Thanks Mark, TBH i even went as far as buying sand, (its still in the boot of my car) but last minute i decided against it, not really sure what swayed my decision and at the time didn't even think of the Geo. I know gravels not ideal for the Geo but my Nicaraguense has the same earth eater trait of taking in sand and spitting it out, soon as he went in he started doing the sam with the gravel, so hopefully when the Geo is bigger he should be ok.

Thanks Shroob, using the calculator on here it appears to be around 475 Litres so 125US Gallons

1x Botia kubotai, - trying to source more of these

Lol, yeah trouble is when a customer wants to rehome something i just see it as me getting free fish :hyper:
eventually thoughi'd like to just have a few cichlids, the BGK, a shoal of clowns, a bichir and a group of reed fish,

plans for the tank sound good. that would look fantastic with a sand substrate and a black background

that tank looks pretty amazing :good: the big spindley centre peices of wood seem to be the trend at the moment...how much did yours cost? or did you go out and find it?

also, did you set up your new tank all in one day?

pink.

So you put all those fish in there before cycling the tank and letting the water clear??

Thanks, had loads of trouble getting it and setting it up but worth it, the piece of redmoor cost me £16 and is about 3x1x1

It was set up over two days,

Basicly I only have room at home for one tank, so I had to build the new tank, transfer the filters across, then strip the old tank down, The bioload is the same as on the old tank so i don't expect much of a spike if there is one at all.

im liking the rope fish
how big is he/she

She is about 10-12inches

So you put all those fish in there before cycling the tank and letting the water clear??

the murkiness was caused by the gravel and i have 2 year matured filtration on the tank.

you have a lovely tank there. I really love the position you put it in that room as well. Good job!

also, you have a beautiful black ghost knife..is it hand fed ?

Thanks, hate to say it but thats where my mum said it would look best, i wanted it on another wall, but guess she was right in the end.

Yes i have "ghosty" whos quite a character always swimming around but will only seem to eat from the bottom of the tank

Im so glad it all went well in the end - especially after id recommended the sale!! Tank is looking really great! I had the same problem with mine being cloudy when I first set it up too but after 3 days it was clear. I will have to take some pics of mine.
