That looks awesome!!!!!

Bet you had many hours of fun planing it all

Thanks mate,

yup spent quite a few hours planning and discussing with the LFS about the sump mainly !! lol.

Moved on from an aquaone 620T, which was superb for getting my head around the tanks basic needs. Still learning however, but that is all part of the fun too lol...

Must admit, Marine is not my thing but that is one mighty impressive setup you have there :good:

Cheers mate, lol

i used to keep trops years ago with my dad, so i suppose that was where it all started from.

Wow.............. !

Room for a couple of dolphins in there. :#

Enjoy your tank.

Cheers Malfie,

pretty large i have to admit, but there are quite a few that are even bigger lol...

Decided to go for a four foot tank in the begining and it wasnt until we measured the wall, when we realised it would take five nicely. Looking at it again we have thought about upgrading in a few years to a six... nah

OMG thats an amazing tank. Lovely looking.

Thanks Paul,

very much appreciated.

Very complicated looking but looks soooo worth it. Lucky you

I thought it was complicated too kitten, but have literally this week got my head around how it works lol...

Cheers Blodhi lol...

Latest edition -

2 more blue cheek goby's - fantastic to watch lol....

Wow, nice work Chris, almost looks like you knew what you were doing ;). I have but one concern/piece of advice. Do you have a checkvalve aka non-return valve between the return pump and the tank? Your pump outlets are high which is good, but a 5x2' tank has a lot of surface area and you sure might overflow your sump without one? Always better to have two levels of safety if you ask me :)

Can't wait to see more pics :)

Hi Ski mate,

thanks for the comments. As for the check valve, there is not one fitted. However, i have already tried the power trip failing scenario by switching all the power off. Left it to stand for a while, with the residue water from the weir coming nowhere near enough to overflow the sump area.

Is this what you meant ? lol

I am having a bit of a drama with the koralia's, in as much as trying to get the two of them to face each other, which ends up pushing a load of sand away from the front of the tank. Now have 2 mountains and huge gaping gap to show.

Any advice on how to position the heads ?

New skimmer in and working - Deltec AP 701 - what a fantastic bit of kit....

Sand movement - koralia's keep blowing the sand away from the front of the tank.

wow, its lovely.
I would love to go marine but it scares me witless lol. I wouldn't know where to start. I did look into it again earlier this year but couldnt find good enough complete idiot proof newbie advice so dropped the idea again but I am tempted.
