New Tank

Hello all

I have just bought a complette marine FO system.



I am planning of turning it to a reef tank, so i brought 20kg of live rock and plan to by another 10kg.

Here is a picture of a hanger on!!!



Planning on getting pepermint shrimps. How many do i need? Or would you recomend chemical treatment

Where there's one there can often be many

To the OP, usually 1 or two peppermints will deal with an aiptasia problem. I have 2 in my tank

Yes, they're scavengers and some individuals exhibit cleaning behavior like skunk cleaners or blood shrimp. Mine clean my fingers whenever I water change. Dont need nail clippers to remove hangnails anymore

The big question then:

"Are they worth it or should i buy diffrent shrimps (the wife likes blood shrimp) and the chemical that kills them?"

If so i looked at my LFS and they had none and on the website. Where can i buy from! any ideas

there good scavengers and after theyve done ther job w/ aptaisia there pretty interesting to watch, and you can hand feed them, and theyll be out most of the time durring the day

Anything that gets rid of those aptaisia rock! I had 2 of them on a piece lr and within a couple weeks they were all over that rock.However its so fun watching my copperband destroy them! gL
