New Tank

Looking good. I take it from the CO2 unit you're planning to keep plants? One word of advice, unless you have lighting of over 2WGP then CO2 itsn't going to help much as the plants would be able to use it unless you get lots of light over the tank, and if you do then you'll need to add ferts and other things. What lighting do you have? Whats your planting going to be?

Also, if you have air bubbles (like you do have coming out of the bamboo) then the CO2 isn't going to stay in the water for very long anyway. I.e. the air bubbles drive off the CO2 from the water so the plants dont get the benefit of it. Sorry this probably isnt what you wanted to hear.

Im not saying dont have plants! but there is no point having the CO2 AND the air bubbles, save yourself the effort and cost and stop the CO2, unless you're wanting to get really into plants its not worth it.

Im afraid you'll probably have to choose my friend.

i did really want to keep lots ofplants but i think i will be keeping to a few hardy species for nowas i am going to be keepin 2 kissing gouramis who will uproot my plants from what i've read anyway. Need to have theairstonesinthem to stop the dead spots. will also put the powerhead from my juwel rekord 60 in the longest bamboo on the left.
I need to build a few caves now for the soon to be residents *bn plec and 2 rams.

thanks for the feedback

I assume you're going to fishless cycle? :) My only thought on reading through from the beginning was did you fill it with water before adding all the gravel and other stuff in to check for leaks. Always a good idea, especially for any beginners who may be reading this. Nothing worse than putting all the hard landscaping and electrical stuff in only to have to take it all out again because some delivery guy dropped it earlier. :good:

filled it, checked for leaks, cleaned it, drained it then started playing.

im cloning from another tank, got the stones from my fluval 305 in the 105 in the 20gal
