Hubby picked up another tank yesterday, unfortunately its still in the car as I cant lift it let alone carry it with him upto the house  I know what I am going to put in it but just out of curiosity what would you stock in a tank.
54" long x 30" wide x 16" high, Just over 400l (I think)

Ok I know Chops is spoiled rotten but its not for him

I've recently gone through a phase of wanting a female red terror. These can look stunning. I would say you have room for a pair of these fish given the dimensions of the tank.

Another option would be a south american biotope (1 school of tetra, a few dwarf cichlids, a school of cory's - lots of bogwood and plants with a sandy substrate).

With a tank of those dimensions, you have a lot of options open to you. I can think of a ton of ideas, but at the end of the day its your tank - so any ideas to narrow down suggestions would be helpful.

so its about 100g? man where you guys get all these awesome tanks! i might just move to the UK and live with you guys, lol.

anyway, u could have a chocolate cichlid, red terrors,GT,Flowerhorn,Red Devil, Midas, Discus,Festivums, Nics, rainbows cichlids, Jags, vieja argentia, vieja zonatum,

According to the calculator its 425l, sadly I am not putting anything special in it, just my 3 tank busting turtles.

Balloons&killies I got it off ebay for £50 :good:

Redmoor Wood with Java moss slowly creeping up the roots. With lushious Anubias nana and thin spindly leaved Java Fern inbetween the bulky "base" parts of the wood. Scattered over a sand substrate with small rounded flat pebbles dotted here and there. Perhaps a shoal of Melanotaenia Praecox and a nice mini efficient army of otos to help with algae.

This isnt just a tank, this is an M&S tank ;) Lol

Unfortunately not. Just one off google images.

Compatibility will be an issue, RT and Midas are two fish with a lot of potential aggression. Lots of variables too...tank size, size of midas and RT, how long the midas has been in the tank and the indiviual fishes personalities.

i would be tempted to do a brackish setup or buy that porcupine puffer for sale in the classified adds.
