Hi All,

I am just starting to cycle my new tank over this weekend, this will be a fishless cycle.

The tank size is approx 700 litres, 6 ft long, I currently have 2 x external hydor 300 watt heaters and 2 x All Pond 1400EF Plus rated at 1400 litres per hour and a Seneye Monitoring device,

I am now thinking about ideas for stocking this aquarium, so I am after ideas from the valued member of this forum.

One idea of mine was setting it up as a Tanganyika Setup and keeping Tanganyika Chillids?

So now I am opening this up to anyone who would like to post there ideas on what to turn this tank into?

Thanks to all who replys to this post

700 Litres? D:!! Jelly ;-; Could put anything you wanted in that :p

What is your water like in your area PH, soft, hard? Are you wanting to use RO water or stick with your normal tap water. I know i would rather stick with tap water in a tank of that size, lol. Unless you have your own RO unit weekly water changes could get expensive!

Low ph soft water = Discus
High ph harder water = Rift valleys

That's what I'd do lol!

TekFish :good:

I would be normal tap water, the ph is around 7.6

The tank is fully automated so it does its own water change every other day of 50 litres and then auto adds the correct amount of dechlorinator

Its all run by a small computer and a ethernet based relay board, its all been hand designed and sadly most of the hardware had to come outside of the UK.

Every other day the computer will fill a water but with 45 litres in the cabinet, then dechlorine it, then it will pump the water out of the main tank to a set depth then pump the fresh water into the aquarium.

Would you prefer some big fish or lots of little fish like guppies?
