are you thinking about buying this, take it that's copied from an advert somewhere?

are there any pics, and what sort of set up do you want to do with the tank as that will change it's suitability.

no problem.

questions i would ask are as follows

what sort of lighting is included, ask for total wattage, make/model of lighting units and bulbs.

a picture of the tank with the hood open from the top (so you can see if it is adaptable)

what filter (if any) is included, they say filter pump.... not really clear what they mean. get a make/model of filter if possible. it almost sounds like it's got a filter included in the hood, generally these sorts of filters are a bit rubbish and I'd definately be wanting to upgrade to a cannister filter if that's the case.

nice big tank though, nearly 84 us gallons :good: lots of possibilities with a tank like that :D

can't advise on price as i've no idea of the exchange rate, if you can tell me in UK pounds i'll let you know if it's a good deal! ;)

I have sent them an email and will await their response.........

As for the price, its roughly f1000 pounds (UK)......I think my earlier post list the details you mentioned Miss Wiggle..........:)

it does give some details......however not enough for my liking, that's all, just a bit vague.

£1000 ???????    you've got to be kidding me?!?!?!?

dunno if tanks cost more over there but i could get a nice custom tank cheaper than that! no chance would i pay that much for it. dunno if someone else in oz can tell you if it's more reasonable over there??

Ooops that price is wrong...........wrong way round...need to divide.......

O'K the price is approx f140 Pounds................apologies.......

Late at night here nearing midnight....brain going to sleep.....

Dutchie is this your first tank? If so, would people not think a 310L tank would be a bit big?

Sorry Dutchie seing you post realise you already have a 7 gallon tank.

the bigger the better, bigger tanks are actually easier to keep stable, i say go for it.

that's a fair price too, i'd be happy to get it at that price.

let us know what they say about filtration and lighting. :good:

Not good news Miss Wiggle which makes me a bit suspect.

They could not provide further photos nor details of anything claiming everything is sealed in the boxes....

So I'm tossing between the Jebo R3100 (46G UK) or the new AquaOne Aqua Style Aquarium (48G UK)......

Both are around the same price approx f210 Pounds...........that way I'm getting a reasonable branded tank......both are slightly smaller but still decent size.

Any advice on either of these models??

cheers

PS Happy New Year too......... :shifty:

yeah it is a little dubious, personally i wouldn't want to spend that sort of money not knowing exactly what i was getting.

it depends how much you wanna gamble though, it could work out brilliantly, it could be a nightmare :/

i've not had personal experience of either make however i've heard nothing bad about the Jebo's, and quite a bit of good feedback on the Aqua One tanks. I'm sure either would be acceptable but I'd probably go for the aqua one. you may find you want to supplement the filtration on either option though with something like an external cannister filter. reduces the clutter in the tank and will be much better. Best make IMO is Eheim, Rena are also quite good.

If you get neons, DON'T get angles, at a larger size they'll eat your neons :(

not nescessarily, i and several others have kept them together sucessfully, trick is to get the angel teeny and let it grow up with the neon's... it's not guranteed but there's a lot less chance of them getting munched on. :good:

i have 3 aqua one tanks and am very happy with them

the only slight drawback imo is that you dont get enough filter noodles so have added extra to mine as for everything else i think they brilliant i have floating silvania natans in one and according to aquarium atlas these are difficult to grow but because of lighting in my tank they just flourish so much so i have to remove them at regular intervals to stop them taking over
