I need some input on this: I am thinking about starting an aquarium again. I would like "Colorful" fish that are not "Too" hard to take care of. What would you all recommend? Are Saltwater aquariums a lot harder than lets say a "Discus" aquarium....to keep-up with?

Thanks,
Scott

USN...
Wish I could help ya, but I don't have much experience with either salt tanks or discus.

If you want a set up that is easy to maintain, and have colorful fish how about an African cichlid tank.

Now THAT I know about ;) ;) :p :D :D

When a few more members come on who have insight into salt or discus I am sure you will receive many answers to your question though.

.....African Cichlids are very colorful too......I was thinking about them also. In your books, What would be the most colorful of them? ....and can they be mixed?

Tricky tricky, basically with regards to maine they need top water quality as do discus if you keep on top of water quality the marines imo are no harder than discus, i have kept african cichlids and while colourful they dont have anything on marines sorry CM.

The problem with marines is the cost, but if you can afford it then go for it
