New Tank :D

Got out of work early today, so did some fish shop shopping!
And, grabbed a little tank for fishy-san.
He's been in this little plastic... thing. And now that he's mine, he needs an upgrade.
The guy in the shop actually pointed out the little betta cups, a coffee mug would hold more.

Anyhow, I got a 5 gallon tank, it came with a silk plant, water conditioner, a hang on filter (not sure i'll use it yet, will give it a try see how he reacts to it) and gravel. It was AU$40 all up, so cheaper than buying everything seperately.

Very excited! Until I can buy a bigger tank for my danios, making this nice for him will definitely keep me entertained.

Yey! New tanks are always fun.

My local fish store normally stocks like.... 3 very overpriced fancy betta bowls. They advise against keeping bettas in them, so I'm not sure why they have them They've never restocked, I guess they just can't get rid of them

Before I knew better I put one of my fish in those plastic divided little things. I thought that if the fish store sold them they most be okay.
But I soo realized that Mars was not happy in there. So I had to go bigger.

I don't know who invented them, but it's good that your fish store advised against them. I wish mind did.

I think it took a while for little fishy-san so get used to his new tank, but I came home from work this morning to find him swimming around, not a lot, he's still a lazy sod, but, more than he has been for quite a while. Also chasing down food too when I put some in, nice to see.

Unfortunately he's still a sick little bugger, but a lot better than he was. Hopefully he'll start getting some of his colour back, and his fins regrow.

Kinda freaks me out when he comes to the side and stares at me though.
