you've all been a great help thank you, the snails do/will they tell me anything? not lit of course
One other ive turned the heater on, right or wrong?

heater on is good - 29-30 degrees for bacteria
Snails - I'd ignore them, without food they'll expire. Unless you speak snail of course - then the wonders of the world may open up
