Hi i'm andy i work for my disabled friend, who wants to start keeping tropical freshwater fish...beyond feeding the fish, it would be me who did the more technical stuff, which is fine as i rent a room here to..

I was thinking of just testing the water first with a smaller tank, which provides all you need to start..So basically need advice on a tank..I liked the look of the Rena Kid Maxi Light Tropical Black 6.6 GAL tank.
But as i know nothing it could be a terrible tank?? Or how many fish it holds,in fact i know nothing..

but keen to learn.
andy

oh lord what a start ive put this in the wrong section sorryyyyyy

One piece of advise I can offer quickly is that larger tanks are (surprisingly) much easier to care for than smaller ones.
The larger the body of water the more dilluted any pollutants will be and so the less stress (which leads to death) your fish will be under. If anything goes wrong in a small tank, your fish can die before you have a chance to rectify the problem.
Only experienced fishkeepers are advised to keep fish in such small bodies of water as regular maintanaince is essential.

Having said that if a small tank is the only thing suitable, by reading beforehand and seeking advise (as you are doing), and more importantly heeding exactly what you learn I'm sure you can have sucess.

Good Luck

And I add. . . Hello Andy

i couldnt find that aquarium so i suggest a juwel rekor 60l http://www.juwel-aquarium.de/en/rekord.htm
it is a good make the same size as my first aquarium
for fish i think 5 neons 2 pepper catfish 3 glowlights guppies(easy to breed 1 male 3 females)
for plant get a log with a furn in it the fish love it and some other ferns around the tank

Sounds liek what you need to do is set yourself up a tropical aquarium, and fit in some fake bits of coral. Widely avalible.
