Just got a new tank, I'm not sure but it's about 21 gallons I think, quite a long one, could measure it for you but I'm not at home right now. Setting it up soon hopefully. Was planning to set it up as a 'big fish' tank as I have a smaller Juwel Rekord 70 litre with a gibbiceps Pleco in which has grown far too big which is going to move into the new tank!
Along with the plec, which has grown quick, is about 4 inches long and a peaceful chap, I was planning on putting the following:

2 Blue Discus,
1 Kribensis (my dad has a HUGE one which is beautiful and causes no problems)
Another, smaller plec like a Royal Plec (these are gorgeous!)
1 Pearl Gourami
4 Clown Loach

I'm going to have it lightly planted, despite the chance of my plecs ripping them to shreds. Plenty of hiding spots too.
What d'ya reckon?

I reckon you need to do some proper research about how big each of those fish get and then tell us which one (possibly two) are actually suitable for a 21 gallon tank

I'll start you off...

A 79L tank is only suitable to house the Krib, out of the fish you mentioned. The Pearl Gourami may be OK, depending on the dimensions of the tank.

All the other fish get too big.

Please research adult sizes of fish before buying. With Google to hand there is really no excuse to not research fish before buying.

Discus will easily outgrow that tank or will get stunted in growth which is really bad. They also are a social species and do best in groups of 6. They also can have problems being in tanks with loaches as they secrete a "milk" from their skin which loaches sometimes like to eat and this can really stress out the fish. Clown Loaches also out grow a 20 gallon.
I'd advise going with a pair of Kribs or Rams and then smaller fish like Harlequin Rasboras of Cardinal Tetras. Along with some corydoras.
