Quick question, im off too LFS tonight after work, what shall I go for, 2 angels or a few rainbow fish??
or any other suggestions for that matter.

I currently havew 183 litre set up with 6 gold barbs, 4 corys, 2 platy and 9 fry, 1 molly, 4 ottos and 1 rtbs.

many thanks

Stu

Tricky, I think they are both great fish which can cover areas of the tank where other fish do not spend too much time. I currently have 3 Bosemani rainbows in my tank and think they are great. Their colours have really come out, they cover an otherwise empty top of the tank, and they are really active fish. Your tank is the same size as mine. i would not recommend a tank much smaller for bosemani rainbows due to their activity levels..

Good luck..

Rainbow fish are the better community fish - the barbs could nip at the angels I think. Plus they are more peaceful as angels can get agressive when spawning. Just my opinion though - they are both beautiful fish!

If you want the fry dont add Angels, of course a nice adult Angel is the most beautiful medium size softwater fish!

Depends what rainbowfish you going to get. I'd get the rainbow fish if you were getting madagascan rainbows. But otherwise i'd get angels, such personality. Everytime i go near my tank, my angels come to greet me, (they probably think they are getting fed but still love it).

i agree!!! :good:

I went into the lfs who didnt have a great selection of rainbows.

I was gonna grab some beautiful marble angels, until the lfs worker advised me that keeping angels in with my 2 albino kribs wasnt a great idea so I came away with nothing!!!!!

GUTTED!!!!
