I think that your tank is 25 gallons but TBH It is still overstocked

gallons, right, sorry. still in panic mode from eel. i am using the liquid test but i can't seem to get an accurate reading for ammonia. i'm gonna lower the PH and hope things improve in the morning.

NO! Dont lower your pH it will only make things worse! A low pH will mean filter bacteria grow slower - and if you have an ammonia reading this will make things even worse! Ammonia is much more toxic than nitrite. If you want to do something to help the fish, do another water change, this will remove ammonia and replace it with ammonia-free water. pH isn't important in most situations so you should have no reason to lower it anyway, if you change it it's more likely to swing back forth unnaturally will make your filter bacteria less-effective.

How often do you do water changes normally?

As mentioned by other members too, could you list your species? As from your stocking list it does appear you are massively overstocked and this will pretty much be everyone's conclusion as to why your having problems, until maybe you can elaborate .

Your tank sounds more like 25 gallons, not litres, from the dimensions you've given, still most likely unsuitable for your species if your keeping them in comfortable numbers, as you've been following LFS advice (should always be taken with a pinch of salt, regardless of how good you think they are).

Based on those dimensions your tank is about 24 US gallons or 92 liters. Your tank is still VERY overstocked.

Personally (completely different idea from anyone on here) id say see if your lfs can take back all your fish, get your tank chemistry under control, from what it sounds like your filtration/bacteria colony cant keep up with all the fish you kept adding and thus the ammonia produced by all the fish + any food = your problem. How to get rid of your problem? Well thats why i suggest re homing your fish for the time being and once you thoroughly research your fish and make a better stocking choice, then, then you can get more fish.

Not trying to offend, but as i see it that is what this drama is boiling down too. So if you can provide us with the specifics of your Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph measurements and inform us on exactly what species of spiny eel you have, im afraid i cant be of further help/assistance.
