New South American Puffer Problems, quite long

Just thought I would update you all on Pete the South American puffer. I set up his new tank last night and transfered him this morning.

I replaced 2 of the 3 filter elminets with cut outs from my existing tank and used existing tank water for the setup (just to make the move as stress free as possible. This should mean the tank will not suffer from any spikes, but I will keep some prepared water ready at all times incase an emergency water change is required.

He seemed so happy in his new tank and spent the morning exploring and eating blood worm

Thanks all again for your advice, help and acomments.

That tank may still suffer spikes due to the mess puffers make.

It was smart to move him, both pufferpack and Lady Minion were right in the sense that eventually either your fish would attack him or he would attack your fish or both.

I have found in my puffer tank that adding a dozen ghost shrimp does wonders. Although they dissappear over time they do an excellent clean up job. They are only $0.25 each here so replacing a dozen every few weeks isn't a big deal. :)

Got a couple of poor low quality ones I took on my phone, can I post them to the forum or do I need to upload elsewhere and link to it? I also have a little video of him buzzing around.... low quality, but fun all the same.

I believe that in the section of this forum thats meant for posting pictures (Member's Aquarium and Fish Pictures) you can just post them right from the computer. 99% sure though, so I might be wrong :p
